Adrienne Symes

Adrienne Symes was born in Dublin and has lived in Dublin and Kildare. She has studied at both NCAD and Trinity College and had the privilege to work closely with Sybil Connolly.
Water is a recurring theme in Adrienne’s work, from the large-scale seascapes and seashores of the West of Ireland to the intimacy of a rock pool, a pond or a river bank. The mystery of distortions, reflections and shapes adds a certain meditative quality to the work.
